Greensolver at the Battery Asset Management Summit UK & Ireland – 13-14 October 2026
Battery storage in the UK has moved past the build-out question. The issue now is how well a growing operational fleet performs over time. Greensolver supports that shift through both of its business lines — advisory and asset management — across the full BESS lifecycle: degradation model review, supply contract audits, revenue stacking modelling, safety risk analysis and HSE authoring. With 62 GW of projects assessed in advisory, 7.5 GW under asset management and twenty years of experience across 15 European countries, our teams work daily on the questions that now determine whether a battery portfolio delivers.
A summit built entirely around storage asset performance
The Battery Asset Management Summit UK & Ireland takes place on 13 and 14 October 2026 at the Leonardo Royal Hotel St Paul’s in London. Produced by Solar Media (part of Informa Markets) and hosted by SolaX Power, it brings together asset owners, investors, operators, optimisers, software providers and O&M specialists around one objective: extracting more value from battery systems already in operation.
The market context explains that focus. As of early 2026, the UK has more than 8.5 GW / 14 GWh of operational BESS capacity, following a record 2025 in which 4 GWh came online. There are 1,943 active BESS projects on record, and UK battery storage capacity has grown by 509% since 2020. At that scale, how assets are managed, optimised and maintained becomes the main lever of value creation.
The 2026 programme runs across two parallel streams:
- Technical Asset Management — supply chain price cycles, LTSA structuring, augmentation strategies, cybersecurity compliance, AI integration and predictive maintenance.
- Commercial & Financial — trading strategies, insurance risk profiles, portfolio optimisation, debt structuring and ESG requirements.
Cross-cutting themes include safety standards, battery health, optimisation and software integration, price forecasting, big battery case studies and unlocking revenue streams. The organisers report that 60% of attendees come from the buyside, in a deliberately curated format built around workshops and roundtables.
A Greensolver team already known to the summit
At the 2025 edition, David Pursglove, BESS Asset Manager at Greensolver, was among the summit’s speakers in London. That continuity matters: the conversations started last year on battery health and asset performance carry on this year, informed by another twelve months of operational data.
Four Greensolver colleagues will attend on 13 and 14 October, as visitors:
- Marie Bartle — BESS Director
- David Pursglove — BESS Asset Manager
- Nikko Talplacido — Energy Storage Consultant
- George Hodgkinson — Senior Business Developer
The mix is deliberate: it covers day-to-day portfolio management, hands-on technical expertise and the commercial dialogue with asset owners and investors.
What to expect from a conversation with our team
The two programme streams map directly onto our two asset management offerings. On the technical side, our technical asset management teams handle performance monitoring, O&M contractor management, compliance and site safety, within an ISO 55001-certified framework. On the commercial and financial side, our financial asset management covers investor and lender reporting, covenant monitoring and revenue analysis.
Upstream of operations, our technical advisory and financial consultancy work covers technical due diligence, degradation model review, BESS supply contract audits and revenue modelling. Our health and safety advisory practice addresses thermal runaway mitigation and full HSE authoring for permitting and operations.
Greensolver also acts as an independent third party on UK BESS portfolios, appointed following competitive tender processes run by European asset owners. If you manage an operational battery portfolio, or are preparing an asset for commissioning, our team can talk through specific issues: structuring a long-term service agreement, balancing battery cycling against asset life, planning an augmentation strategy or tightening financial reporting.
