AMPYR Distributed Energy: Technical Asset Management of a 70 MW pan-European solar portfolio

Introduction

In July 2026, AMPYR Distributed Energy (ADE) took a major step in its pan-European expansion by acquiring a 70 MW portfolio of operational solar assets from TotalEnergies, spread across 17 sites in the Benelux, Iberia and the UK. The deal lifts ADE’s total contracted capacity to more than 250 MW. Greensolver is proud to have supported ADE on this project in a Technical Asset Management capacity.

A pan-European turning point for AMPYR

A subsidiary of AGP Sustainable Real Assets, AMPYR Distributed Energy funds, builds, owns and operates onsite renewable energy infrastructure for commercial and industrial customers through long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). Its ambition is to become a leading funder of onsite renewable assets across Europe.

The acquisition of a 70 MW operational solar portfolio from TotalEnergies fits squarely within that trajectory. Carried out alongside Amarenco as part of an approximately 170 MW divestment by TotalEnergies, it reflects — on the seller’s side — a refocusing on large utility-scale solar and wind. On the buyer’s side, ADE CEO John Behan describes it as a strategic launchpad for the group’s pan-European vision, and a way to serve multi-site, multi-country businesses with a single partner to fund, own and operate onsite renewable energy.

Technical Asset Management: Greensolver’s contribution

Greensolver supported this project in a Technical Asset Management capacity. Managing a 17-site portfolio spread across five countries and combining ground-mounted, rooftop and floating solar calls for cross-cutting technical expertise and an on-the-ground presence — precisely Greensolver’s core business, where we support every solar configuration, from ground-mounted plants to rooftops and floating arrays.

Our ISO 55001-certified technical team protects and enhances asset value by ensuring regulatory compliance, optimising performance and mitigating operational risk. Acting as the investor’s representative on site, we monitor production, supervise O&M providers and maximise technical availability. Our control rooms in France, the UK and the Netherlands deliver fast, localised handling of alerts — a decisive advantage for a portfolio this geographically diverse.

This blend of engineering and operations is what sets our asset management approach apart: connecting every technical finding to its operational and financial impact, to preserve asset value over the long term.
