Tales of Wind #9 - Streem

Streem is a comprehensive tool enabling active monitoring of Reactive power deviations as well as the possibility to get access to the grid meter production independently of any internet connection.

Advantage :

• Wind farms sometimes suffer from communication outages either due to recurrent defect on the telecom land line provided by Orange, or to a HV disconnection. By giving
  access to the live Grid meter production through a different communication canal as the one from Orange, Streem enables us to avoid unnecessary intervention from the on
  call HV subcontractor.
• Streem enables us to set the conditions described in the CARDi with ENEDIS, for instance the reactive power conditions. Alerts can then be set if the site doesn’t respect these
  conditions, thus avoiding heavy invoices from ENEDIS and difficult discussions with the O&M. Most of the time, when a wind farm doesn’t respect the reactive power conditions,
  the operator only realizes it the month after usually with a penalty of several thousand euros.

The scope of action includes the following:

• Queries of the Grid meter data on each site through ENEDIS grid meter
• “On-demand” Grid meter queries (up to 3 a month per grid meter)
• Data stored on the Streem cloud
• Monitoring, analysis and downloading possibilities on the user interface
• Daily monitoring from Greensolver
• Potential access to data through API
• Possibility to create a limited number to Client access to the platform
