Tales of Wind #8 - Elide Fire

The Elide Fire ball is an automatic fire extinguishing device, used passively by being installed in a location that must be secured. It is effective in various classes : A (dry fires), B (liquid fires) and C (gas fires). It is also suitable for electrical fires. The device has a 5- year durability without needing any yearly or half-yearly maintenance.

Methodology : in the event of a fire, the ball will trigger upon contact with fire, instantly dispersing an extinguishing agent to put out the fire and emitting a sound warning as well.

Set-up : The Elide Fire are installed using a metal bracket to which magnets are attached. This system is then installed at predefined locations in the machine by magnetization to metal walls. This type of fixation is provided by the supplier.

Greensolver can manage the supply and the installation of Elide Fire extinguishing balls in turbines, it can be done during  Greensolver annual inspection.

This installation is carried out in agreement with the turbine manufacturer as the Elide Fire do not represent any risks for the technicians when performing interventions. As of 2025, Greensolver already installed this type of equipment in 2 wind farms whose manufacturer is SGRE.
