Greensolver has already a good track record in Wind and solar asset management in UK and Portugal and plans to continue growing in the area increasing business volume and selling new services with the recruitment of a Senior Business Developer. 

Job Description 

Contract: Permanent  

Location: London 

We are currently seeking for a Senior Business Developer, with expert sales skills and knowledge of the renewable energy market in UK in particular.       

You will work closely with the technical team and related stakeholders; more specifically, the Senior Business Developer,  will be responsible for:  

New Business Development  

  • Find potential new clients and turn this into increased business. 
  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. 
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. 
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization. 
  • Research and build relationships with new clients. 
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals. 
  • Plan approaches and pitches.  
  • Build offers and pricing for the solutions/services proposed to clients. 
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.  

Client Relation 

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. 
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. 
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. 
  • Business Development Planning 
  • Attend exhibitions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. 
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators. 
  • More specifically, the Spanish Business developer will be responsible for a portfolio of clients based in Spain and Portugal.  
  • The role will involve regular travel across Europe. 

Management 

  • Manage a junior business developer to reach the company goals in the area 
  • Supervise the attendance to all events in the area (conference, exhibitions, etc.) 
  • Set up and manage the sales and marketing budget in the area 

Qualifications / Experience 

The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:  

Autonomy, Proactivity Networking, Persuasion, Financial acumen, Public Speaking, Writing, Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Identification of Customer Needs and Challenges, Market Knowledge, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism, CRM (Salesforce), and Microsoft Office. 

Engineering qualification, followed by an MBA, OR a business degree with renewables experience. 

Looking for someone who can demonstrate at least 5 years of success in a sales role in the UK, with an experience in a services sales function and in the UK REN sector (wind, solar or BESS). 

Languages: English fluency is essential, other languages like French are a plus.

Job Description 

The Financial Accountant plays a pivotal role within the company’s commercial team, collaborating closely with stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for the financial reporting of a mixed portfolio of wind farms, solar parks & battery storage across Europe and report to the Head of Finance for the UK & NL. 

This role has aspects that are broader than just an accounting function, including OFGEM reporting, keeping on top of commercial regulations and supporting the team with the implementation of quality systems and processes which deliver performance improvements. As a Financial accountant, you will be responsible for building good working relationships with all clients and produce accurate and conscientious work. 

As part of the Commercial Management team, you will:  

  • Manage the monthly client bookkeeping 
  • Prepare management accounts and monthly reports 
  • Update when needed client P&L and cash forecasts 
  • Prepare annual budgets 
  • Control the accounts payable function for clients 
  • Control the credit control function for clients 
  • Complete VAT returns 
  • Assist in reviewing tax computations 
  • Assist in managing client audit 
  • OFGEM reporting 
  • Assist with client queries 
  • Look for commercial improvement solutions 
  • Responsible for the general administration of each project 
  • When needed, represent Greensolver in client meetings 
  • Follow internal guidelines and processes 

The candidate will need to have to following skills: 

  • Qualified or part qualified accountant 
  • Relevant accounting experience 
  • Bookkeeping 
  • Management accounts preparation 
  • VAT 
  • Detail orientated with a right first time attitude 
  • Experience in the renewable sector preferred but not necessary 

The post will be based in London.
