Advisory Services Consultant/ Energy Yield Assessment and DD Engineer

Greensolver is ramping up its development through an organic growth (new clients) and external growth strategy (acquisition and partnerships). Greensolver recently joined the Voltalia group and operates as an independent entity.
Greensolver offers a wide range of solutions covering construction, technical, administrative, accounting and financial operations of wind and solar plants and advises investors on the acquisition or sale of assets.
We are currently seeking an Energy Yield Assessment and Due Diligence Engineer – the position could be based anywhere in Portugal. This will be a choice for the candidate. The Energy Yield Assessment and DD Engineer will:
- Conduct due diligence analysis with regards to wind/solar resource, energy yield, project capacities, turbine/solar layout and suitability of sites for proposed wind/solar sites, notably in new markets.
- Wind/solar farm layout design review.
- Liaising with turbine suppliers regarding turbine suitability and solar equipment suppliers regarding technology options.
- Analysis and reporting of site measurements including meteorological masts, SODAR and LiDAR as well as production data.
- Production of internal wind/solar resource and Energy Production Estimates with the highest possible accuracy. These are delivered in accordance with required project timelines. Applicable for pre- and post-construction yield analysis.
- Reviewing third party reports (energy yield assessment, noise study, site condition report…) and providing analysis on these.
- Performance review of wind farms / PV plants in operation
- Review of contracts linked to the sites (EPC, O&M, Grid connection agreements, PPA…) is a plus
- Participate in DD process and sometimes lead the relationship with the clients
Qualifications / Experience
Experience: 3 years
Qualifications:
- This role requires a minimum of 3 years of pre-construction Yield Analysis experience, preferably across a range of markets;
- Wind analysis and project design experience essential; solar experience is an advantage.
- Operational wind farm analysis experience is an advantage.
- Experience working for a lenders’ advisor, OEM supplier, developer, or operator of wind and/or solar projects.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, a strong mathematical and analysis background, and the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical colleagues are essential.
- Highly analytical with attention to detail and ability to exercise engineering judgement.
- Programming/software development experience is an advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
- Experience in the use of leading wind industry software (WAsP, WindPRO, …). PVsyst or other related solar resource assessment software is an advantage.
- Experience with CFD wind flow models is an advantage.
- Some financial modelling review experience (review of technical hypothesis) would be highly valued.
- Graduate with an honours engineering or physical science degree as a minimum.
- Driving licence
Languages: Fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English. French would be an advantage.
Salary: Competitive salary over 14 months, with a variable bonus of up to 10% of the base salary, based on individual objectives fixed at the beginning of the year. Healthcare insurance.

Job description
Contract: permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
As a PPA Consultant – Business Development/analyst, you will be responsible for spearheading Greensolver’s growth through the development and execution of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). Your expertise in PPAs, business development, and scaling companies will be instrumental in establishing Greensolver as a leader in PPA consultancy in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to secure PPA contracts within the UK market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, energy providers, and regulatory bodies.
- Support and lead the overall execution of end-to-end PPA projects right from the lead origination stage to the final presentation of the results.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential competitors within the renewable energy sector and subsequently execute PPA benchmarking assignments in line with Greensolver standards.
- Conduct quantitative study and financial analysis of the PPA projects to support the future stages of robust contract execution.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and deliver impactful presentations to clients.
- Negotiate and finalize PPA agreements, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for all stakeholders involved.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, policies, and incentives that shape the PPA landscape in the UK.
- Provide expert advice on PPA structuring, risk management, and financial analysis.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing PPA contracts, identifying areas for optimization and expansion.
Profil
Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business (Finance), Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Management).
Experience required:
- Demonstrated experience working with and executing end to end consultancy projects involving Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in business development, showcasing the ability to drive growth and expand companies.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK renewable energy market, including regulatory frameworks and industry trends, particularly in relation to Power Purchase Agreements and intricacies involved in executing them.

We are currently seeking for a Senior Business Developer, with expert sales skills and knowledge of the renewable energy market in Spain in particular.
You will work closely with the technical team and related stakeholders; more specifically, the Senior Business Developer, will be responsible for:
New Business Development
- Find potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
- Plan approaches and pitches.
- Build offers and pricing for the solutions/services proposed to clients.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Client Relation
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
- Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.

- More specifically, the Spanish Business developer will be responsible for a portfolio of clients based in Spain and Portugal.
- The role will involve regular travel across Europe.
Qualifications / Experience
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Languages: Spanish and English fluency is essential, other languages like Portuguese are a plus.
